If you are using a paperclip open it up so that you have two prongs to the clip similar to the bobby pin.

Step 1 using the bobby pin if you have the traditional type of car door locks then you should be able to open this by using a paperclip or a bobby pin.
Now take a second bobby pin and bend the closed end to one side so it forms a 90 degree angle.
Bend the other bobby pin open so that it forms a right angle at the head with one end perpendicular to the other.
This will be your pick.
Make a slight bend at the tip of the straight end.
Insert the two points of the bobby pin into the lock.
