If you are using a paperclip open it up so that you have two prongs to the clip similar to the bobby pin. No skill no experience and no professional pick tools needed just 2 bobby pins. Step 1 using the bobby pin if you have the traditional type of car door locks then you should be able to open this by using a paperclip or a bobby pin. Now take a second bobby pin and bend the closed end to one side so it forms a 90 degree angle.

Bend the other bobby pin open so that it forms a right angle at the head with one end perpendicular to the other. This will be your pick. Make a slight bend at the tip of the straight end. Insert the two points of the bobby pin into the lock.

Note that throughout the entire process of picking and setting pins we must continuously hold tension on the plug.
